Every post is checked firstNothing goes up until it’s checked against these rules, usually within a day. We may shorten or tidy a post, or decline it. When we decline, we’ll tell you why when we can.

Be kind and truthfulNo harassment, threats, hate or name-calling. Write about what you know firsthand.

Protect people’s privacyNo house numbers, no one else’s phone, email or address, no license plates. No photos of identifiable children without a parent’s permission.

Free posts aren’t adsPromote a business through its free directory listing. Ads and sponsorships, when they come, are always labeled.

EventsOpen to the public, held in Dixon, CA, with a date, a place and a working link or contact.

Yard salesStreet or nearest cross streets only. Facebook post links are the only links allowed. Listings come down after the last day. Check with the Dixon Police Department about the city’s garage sale permit.

Lost and found petsShow the neighborhood, not the street. Posts come down after 14 days, or as soon as you tell us the pet is home.

Business listingsOwners keep their own details current with the Update form. DixonTown doesn’t rate or rank businesses.
